Environment Fields: 
Landscape Narrative ? Landscape Description: Part of the Ogdensburg Valley complex. The site is surrounded by marginal forested lowlands and forested swamp dominated by Acer rubrum. The wetland is bordered by a school, houses and some industrial development. There is a large Typha marsh at the center of the wetland with calcareous species and Carex stricta, Acer rubrum, Dasiphora fruticosa ssp. floribunda, and Salix sp. with varying canopy cover. Typha marsh grades into, and out of, calcareous fen and marl seep. Landscape Structure and Extent: Adjacent to a small marl seep on 1 side that borders a Typha-dominated fen and a larger, more intact marl seep on the other. Adjacent communities are fairly intact but uplands are developed.
