Landscape Description: This is a sloping fen complex that is adjacent to a cemetery and Rt. 557. Much of the site is degraded but small, intact remnants remain. The site is best described as a mosaic of fen types, all of which are small patches existing within a larger fen matrix. Fen types include: marl seep fen (~1/2 acre), shrub carr (~1/8 acre), turfy juniper (a few patches totaling ~3/4 acre), Carex stricta-Cornus amomum fen (~1/2 acre and mostly succeeded by Acer and Juniperus), Typha-dominated fen (invaded old marl seep - ~1 acre).

Community Description: This is a small marl seep within a sloping fen complex of turfy juniper, marl seep, Typha, and Carex stricta fens. All areas are degraded by exotics and the effects of surrounding development. This sloping marl seep fen is quite intact with mineral/marl rivulets.
