Plot location: 0.1 miles west of the main drive through the wildlife management area at a point 0.9 miles north of the wildlife management area entrance off Rt. 652.
The plot is located on a dry, gentle upper slope supporting a medium-age forest dominated by Quercus alba with some Quercus velutina, Quercus coccinea, Quercus falcata, and Carya glabra. Nyssa sylvatica is the most abundant understory species, while a sparse herb layer contains Vaccinium pallidum (5-10% cover) and a number of low-cover, xerophytic herbaceous plants.
