Directions to plot and tree tag:
Dual trunk Pinus. Tagged tree is a Pinus strobus of 138 cm dbh with tag #335. Conduit is at a bearing of 15 degrees and 9 m from tree.
Plot location was selected in the field by DNH Ecologists, targeting seep and non-alluvial wetlands. Area suggested by Tom Wieboldt
Riparian zone/sharp bend in stream with many shrubs.
Canopy height was not measured, but Pinus strobus appears to be the tallest tree > 20 m< 35 m over the main canopy of Acer rubrum that is 10-20m tall. Other strata heights were not recorded in the field, but entered in the database as the maximum height. Percentage cover by stratum was not measured in the field, actual strata percentages and stratum cover classes for database entry were estimated by examining cover classes for individual species.
