Observation Narrative ? The plot represents a Hudsonia tomentosa-dominated dwarf shrub community occurring on bare sand of a wind-eroded secondary dune. The type is common in small to moderate-sized patches on the dry, unstable back dunes of Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge. Plot located in old blow-out on west side of low, secondary dune, ca. 0.7 mi east of the Will Hole.
