The plot represents the most typical expression of Spartina alterniflora vegetation occurring along tidal creeks and guts. Soils here consist of deep, very oozy muck; tall (90 cm) S. alterniflora dominates in a virtually monotypic stand.
Plot located along small tidal creek/channel in marsh 0.3 mi ESE of the mouth of Janeys Creek.
