Observation Narrative ? Plot captures transition zone between shorter Distichlis spicata - Spartina patens marsh and taller Spartina alterniflora which forms more extensive dominance patches. Zone of overlap here is wide and difficult to delineate, but pure Spartina alterniflora vegetation appears limited north of plot DAME001P (parallel to shoreline along Ingram Bay). Juncus roemerianus appears to dominate the largest portion of the interior mosaic of Dameron Marsh. Most Spartina alterniflora stems are sterile and < 50 cm tall. Standing water ca. 5 cm deep at 2:30 PM.
