Plot location: Between Belvoir Community Center and Surveyor Road, a slope east of the eastern edge of the community center parking lot.
See plot form for sketch of plot location.
There are several dead trees in the plot, mostly young (DBH 5cm or less). Many of the Cornus are suckering and look stressed from dogwood anthracnose. Also, a dead forked Quercus montana has left a slight canopy to the western edge of the plot. Herbivory by gypsy moth is pretty severe on some of the canopy trees. The top of the hill is open Q. montana with Vaccinium/ Gaylussacia low shrub cover.
