Observation Narrative
Broad seepage swamp in context of oak/heath forest. Situated in basin that receives seepage from adjacent slopes. Scattered moderate sized Q. phellos in forest dominated by Nyssa, Acer rub, Liquid sty, Q. phellos. Open to patchy dense shrub cover and graminoid dominate herb layer with standing water and exposed muck & sphagnum patches. Largest trees are 27m which emerge over main canopy of ~20m.
