Observation Narrative ? A small community - a patch of Typha angustifolia and Hibiscus in a "cul-de-sac" of marsh, with upland on one side and barrier dune on the other, with no creek feeding it directly. Vegetation suggests influence from freshwater seepage; therefore area may be a brackish marsh. Plot located in western corner of southernmost salt marsh at Hughlett Point, in Hibiscus clump 8 m at 57 deg from 12-in dbh dead pine with fire charring. Center marked with 1" diameter PVC pipe.
