Observation Narrative	Wind blasted "scrub bald"/ outcrop vegetation dominated by Menziesia pilosa and Sorbus americana. There appears to be considerably more soil development here than in other habitats of the Mount Rogers NRA supporting high elevation shrublands (cf. plots JRNF017, JRNF024, and JRNF027). Plot located on uppermost slope of Whitetop Mountain below crest, just east of Buzzard Rock and 0.7 mi WSW of summit.
