Observation Narrative ? The plot documents a medium-age, second-growth oak-hickory forest occurring on acidic, sedimentary substrates of the Culpeper Basin. Although stump-sprouted trees indicate past logging, the stand is probably > 80 years old and is very representative of the better acidic oak-hickory forests in the region.
