Observation Narrative
Plot located northwest of natural pond north of North Carolina state line. This plot is part of a marsh 1+ acres in size that is dominated by Schoenoplectus americanus. Most of the marsh is of similar height, with most patches dominated by Juncus roemerianus and smaller areas dominated by Typha angustifolia over Sagittaria lanceolata ssp. media. There are also small patches of low marsh vegetation dominated by Eleocharis fallax or E. rostellata.
