This large granitic "flatrock" has been seriously degraded by the construction of a state secondary road across it. Nevertheless, some portions of the outcrop remain intact and support representative vegetation. Sparse herbaceous vegetation is rooted in local moss/lichen mats and thin veneers of sandy soil. Characteristic species include Schizachyrium scoparium, Hypericum gentianoides, Bulbostylis capillaris, Selaginella rupestris, Talinum teretifolium, Croton willdenowii, and Minuartia glabra.
The forb entered in compositional is in the Brassicaceae family.
Mosses and lichen found in this plot are: Cladina spp., Grimmia laevigata, Polytrichum sp., and cf. Xanthoparmelia sp.
