This small, undisturbed outcrop lacks several characteristic plants found on two larger outcrops downstream, namely Talinum teretifolium and Selaginella rupestris. [Lichens and bryophytes are the dominant biota in the plot, with Cladonia caroliniana covering 25-50% of the area, Grimmia laevigata covering 2-5%, and other squamulose lichens covering 2-5%. Also present are Xanthoparmelia conspersa, Polytrichum sp., and Cladonia cf. verticillata. The rare granite flatrock endemic Isoetes piedmontana is found on a thinly wooded outcrop at this site.]
