Observation Narrative	Plot located at the edge of the Potomac River channel around Langley Island, just west of the mouth of Turkey Run. The substrate at this site consists of densely packed cobbles that are inundated except during periods of extremely low flow. Water was ca. 6 cm deep on the date of sampling. The vegetation consists almost exclusively of clonal stands of Justicia americana. Only three other species are present, all at trace cover.
