The vegetation at this site is an open woodland associated with exposed, west-facing greenstone cliffs and ledges. Fraxinus americana and Pinus virginiana are dominant but scattered and stunted (<15m tall) trees. Several noteworthy plants occur here, including Cheilanthes lanosa, Corydalis sempervirens, Pycnanthemum clinopodioides, Scutellaria parvula var. leonardii, Talinum teretifolium, and Triosteum angustifolium, all of which are uncommon to rare in the Watery Mountains.
