Plot location: 0.78 km ESE of the summit of Halls Point.
Rock Types Present: small metabasalt outcrops, bouldery colluvium, debris.
Sampling site is a bouldery, middle-slope concavity supporting vegetation intermediate between rich mixed hardwoods and dry-rich oak-hickory forest. The current overstories on this slope, with general dominance by Liriodendron tulipifera, regenerated after logging on this slope during the 1920s and early 1930s. This is one of the few Watery Mountains sites in which Tilia americana is present.
