Description: A semi-evergreen dwarf desert shrubland on gypsum-influenced soils of the Trans-Pecos in western Texas, with Tiquilia hispidissima (= Coldenia hispidissima) as a constant component. Anulocaulis gypsogenus, Artemisia filifolia, Bouteloua breviseta, Bouteloua trifida, Ephedra torreyana, Gaillardia multiceps, Krameria lanceolata, Mentzelia humilis, Mentzelia humilis, Nama carnosum, Nerisyrenia linearifolia, Sartwellia flaveriae, Selinocarpus spp., Sporobolus airoides, Sporobolus nealleyi, Thelesperma megapotamicum, Yucca elata, Yucca torreyi, along with several cactus species, are typical associates.
