Description: This association of the Siskiyou Mountains grows between 45-595 m of elevation on mostly east-facing slopes. Stands tend to grow on the lower slope positions in deep, moist soils. Pseudotsuga menziesii and Tsuga heterophylla dominate the tree canopy, with Umbellularia californica and Lithocarpus densiflorus in the subcanopy. The herbaceous layer is dense, with the majority of the cover from Oxalis oregana and Polystichum munitum.
