Description: In Colorado, these meadows occur in marshy areas adjacent to streams or melting snow fields, often at the headwaters of creeks. Stands are characterized by a moderately dense to dense cover of Carex scopulorum with a few other graminoid species present. Caltha leptosepala dominates the forb cover. Information on stands that occur outside Colorado will be added later.
