Description: This alliance consists of marshes dominated by Cladium mariscus ssp. jamaicense in temperate regions of the southeastern United States. Other typical species include Woodwardia virginica, Morella cerifera (= Myrica cerifera), Toxicodendron radicans, and Persea palustris. Some communities of this alliance are now often being invaded by the alien tree Triadica sebifera (= Sapium sebiferum).
