Description: This grass type has been described from the Great Divide Basin in south-central Wyoming. Hesperostipa comata (= Stipa comata) and Achnatherum hymenoides (= Oryzopsis hymenoides) codominate the vegetation, and Pascopyrum smithii is a secondary species. Scattered shrubs are present, primarily Artemisia tridentata ssp. wyomingensis.
