Description: This association represents seepage cliffs dominated by Adiantum capillus-veneris occurring along bluffs of the Cahaba River of central Alabama, where small streams and seeps flow over open limestone cliffs. The vegetation is dominated by Adiantum capillus-veneris. Other herbs include Gentiana saponaria, Onoclea sensibilis, Itea virginica, and Phlox sp. More information is needed on the detailed floristics of these sites. Alnus serrulata is reported to be a common shrub.
