Description: This seasonally flooded, Coastal Plain, depressional wetland occurs in southern New Jersey and Delaware. The substrate is sandy loam over sandy clay loam. The vegetation is diverse with Cladium mariscoides arguably the most characteristic species. Herbaceous associates may include Dichanthelium spretum (= Panicum spretum), Coelorachis rugosa, Boltonia asteroides, Eryngium aquaticum, Rhexia virginica, Fimbristylis autumnalis, Scleria reticularis, Sclerolepis uniflora, and others. Additional species at the site in Delaware include Panicum hemitomon, Rhynchospora chalarocephala, Scleria reticularis, Proserpinaca pectinata, Fimbristylis autumnalis, Panicum hirstii, Rhexia aristosa, Sabatia difformis, and Xyris smalliana.
