Description: This maritime community is known only from the Gulf Coast of Louisiana and possibly Texas. It is a salt-pruned dwarf forest/shrubland (2-6 m tall) dominated by Celtis laevigata, and sometimes codominated by Zanthoxylum clava-herculis and Acacia farnesiana (= Acacia smallii) with abundant Vitis mustangensis tying the shrubs together. Known examples are grazed and have a weedy herb layer with Ambrosia artemisiifolia, Ambrosia trifida, and others.
