Description: This association occurs on moist limestone slopes in the Edwards Plateau of Texas, associated with seasonal seepage or subirrigation. Quercus muehlenbergii dominates the canopy, accompanied by Juglans major and Ulmus rubra. Subcanopy species are Morus microphylla and Juniperus ashei. Shrubs and woody vines include Garrya ovata ssp. lindheimeri, Smilax bona-nox, and Parthenocissus quinquefolia. Herbaceous species include Verbesina virginica var. virginica, Adiantum capillus-veneris, Tripsacum dactyloides, Packera obovata (= Senecio obovatus), Chaetopappa effusa, and Elymus spp.
