Description: This plant association is described from the Snake River canyon in western Idaho from sites at 1500-2625 feet elevation. The overstory of stands is dominated by Alnus rhombifolia; dispersed Populus balsamifera ssp. trichocarpa, Pinus ponderosa, or Prunus virginiana are often present. The shrub understory is occupied by Sambucus caerulea. No other information is currently available.
