Description: This saturated longleaf pine - slash pine woodland community occurs in pineland swales and is restricted in distribution to the Atlantic Coastal Plain from South Carolina and Georgia. Stands are dominated by Pinus palustris and Pinus elliottii. The shrub and herb layers are respectively characterized by the presence or partial dominance of Styrax americanus and Sporobolus floridanus.
