Description: This association is a seasonally flooded herbaceous wetland dominated by Carex hyalinolepis. Other species present (in small amounts) include Rumex verticillatus, Ipomoea sagittata, and Cyperus spp. This association occurs in seasonally flooded depressions in sea islands. The water is fresh, but receives salt water in hurricane events.
