Description: This association is only known from depressional sloughs in the pine flatwoods of southwestern Louisiana. Taxodium distichum occurs as a supercanopy and as a canopy joined by Nyssa biflora, Magnolia virginiana, and Acer rubrum. It occurs in wetter situations than Nyssa biflora - Quercus laurifolia / Sphagnum spp. Depression Forest (CEGL007390). Characteristic examples are known from northern and central Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana.
