Description: This saturated longleaf pine - pond pine woodland is found only in South Carolina, where it is restricted to wet swales. Stands are dominated by Pinus palustris and Pinus serotina. The herb layer is characterized by the presence or partial dominance of Aristida palustris and Sarracenia flava. Additional information is to be added from North Carolina Vegetation Survey data.
