Description: This alliance is largely anthropogenic, occurring on sand dunes, old fields, disturbed areas, and pastures. Prunus angustifolia dominates in clonal thickets. Other characteristic species include Andropogon hallii, Bouteloua curtipendula, Gaillardia pulchella, Prunus gracilis, and Rhus aromatica. In Oklahoma, it is often the result of physical or chemical removal of Artemisia filifolia.
