Description: This alliance consists of exotic-dominated shrublands of southern Florida and other tropical and subtropical areas. The South American-native plant Schinus terebinthifolius is dominant or codominant. Some manifestations of this community reach heights over 5 m and could be considered as 'forest,' but are placed here; they maintain a multi-trunked, tangled aspect, and a separate forest alliance would be of little utility.
