Name: Wisteria (sinensis, floribunda) Vine-shrubland Alliance
Reference: Southeastern Ecology Working Gro...
Description: This alliance, dominated either by the invasive exotic Asian vine Wisteria sinensis or Wisteria floribunda, is most commonly seen in fragmented landscapes near old homesteads and other areas. The oldest colonies of this type may consist of Wisteria sinensis or Wisteria floribunda and little else since the wisteria slowly overtops and kills all other plants nearby.
