Description: This association is found in mesic areas, often along ephemeral streams or adjacent to more permanent streams on the Edwards Plateau and Lampasas Cutplain of central Texas. The vegetation is dominated by Muhlenbergia reverchonii (seep muhly). Other graminoid species include Eleocharis (spikerush) sp., Cyperus (flatsedge) sp., Schizachyrium scoparium (little bluestem), Bouteloua curtipendula (sideoats grama), Aristida purpurea (purple threeawn), Sorghastrum nutans (Indiangrass), Tridens albescens (white tridens), and Bothriochloa laguroides (silver beardgrass). Forbs include Symphyotrichum ericoides (white heath aster), Lythrum californicum (California loosestrife), Desmanthus illinoensis (prairie bundleflower), Bifora americana (prairie bishop), Scutellaria drummondii (Drummond's skullcap), Monarda citriodora (lemon beebalm), Ambrosia psilostachya (Cuman ragweed), Helianthus maximiliani (Maximilian sunflower), Desmanthus velutinus (velvet bundleflower), Hedyotis nigricans (diamondflowers), Hedeoma acinoides (slender false pennyroyal), Liatris mucronata (cusp blazing star), Spiranthes cernua (nodding ladies'-tresses), and Krameria lanceolata (trailing krameria).
