Associates include <i>Glyceria</i> spp., <i>Thelypteris palustris</i>, as well as other species of <i>Scirpus</i> including <i>Scirpus microcarpus (= Scirpus rubrotinctus)</i> and <i>Scirpus atrovirens</i>.
