Description: This association grows in saline, seasonally or permanently flooded marshes, channels, ponds, rivers or coastal wetlands. Inland habitats usually have saline soils and low precipitation. <i>Ruppia cirrhosa</i> or <i>Ruppia maritima</i> are the sole or dominant herbs forming submerged beds in the water. <i>Utricularia macrorhiza (= Utricularia vulgaris), Najas guadalupensis, Zannichellia palustris, Potamogeton foliosus</i>, and/or <i>Myriophyllum</i> sp. may be present.
