Description: This is a riparian community with distribution at least covering the Snake River area. It occurs on sandy bars and deltas with alluvial gravel and cobble. <i>Schoenoplectus acutus (= Scirpus acutus)</i> and <i>Schoenoplectus tabernaemontani (= Scirpus validus)</i> may occur along the edge of the riverbanks.
