Description: This community is known from Broxton Rocks in south-central Georgia (Coffee County); it is a characteristic community of the Altamaha Grit, associated with sandstone outcrops. In addition to the nominal species, characteristic species of this association are <i>Andropogon ternarius, Sericocarpus tortifolius (= Aster tortifolius), Eryngium yuccifolium, Gelsemium sempervirens, Penstemon dissectus, Pteridium aquilinum var. pseudocaudatum, Schizachyrium scoparium, Smilax glauca, Tephrosia virginiana, Vaccinium elliottii, Vaccinium arboreum, Vaccinium stamineum</i>, and <i>Yucca filamentosa</i>.
