Description: This association comprises grasslands with scattered xeromorphic, desert shrubs, mainly <i>Larrea tridentata</i> and <i>Parthenium incanum</i>, occurring at or below 1070 m (3500 feet) elevation in the Chihuahuan Desert of Trans-Pecos Texas. Other shrubs include <i>Flourensia cernua, Acacia neovernicosa, Acacia constricta, Prosopis glandulosa, Agave lechuguilla</i>, and <i>Celtis pallida</i>. Cacti and short grasses (<i>Bouteloua breviseta, Bouteloua eriopoda</i>) may be present.
