Description: Flooding is often from groundwater wicking to the surface. The most 'typical' playa in inland saltgrass communities; forb diversity is high. Includes <i>Salicornia rubra, Suaeda calceoliformis (= Suaeda depressa), Crepis</i> spp., <i>Iva</i> spp., <i>Triglochin maritima, Puccinellia nuttalliana, Juncus balticus</i>. <i>Hordeum jubatum</i> increases with grazing. These are short grasslands.
