Description: From Muldavin et al. (2000b): On White Sands Missile Range this minor plant association is known from only one occurrence in foothills near the eastern flank of the Oscura Mountains at 1660 m (5440 feet) elevation. <i>Artemisia bigelovii</i>, a dwarf-shrub, and <i>Bouteloua eriopoda</i> are clear dominants among a variety of other scattered shrubs and grasses.
