Description: This community occurs on flat, massive exposures of Edwards Limestone, in the Edwards Plateau of central Texas. Very shallow pothole depressions accumulate shallow soils. This community is dominated by vernal annuals, including <i>Sedum nuttallianum, Sedum pulchellum</i>, and <i>Sporobolus vaginiflorus var. ozarkanus (= Sporobolus ozarkanus)</i> (and/or likely <i>Sporobolus vaginiflorus var. vaginiflorus</i>). <i>Nostoc commune</i> is common. Vegetative cover generally exceeds 10%, at least during wet periods.
