Description: This community is extensive in portions of Trans-Pecos Texas. It is, at least in part, the result of overgrazing. <i>Scleropogon brevifolius</i> is the primary grass occurring under a dense to sparse <i>Larrea tridentata</i> stratum. <i>Prosopis glandulosa var. torreyana</i> is often present as well.
