Description: This swamp white oak woodland community type is found in central Illinois and possibly Iowa. Stands occur on silt loam soils formed over glacial till or loess. This community has an open tree canopy dominated by <i>Quercus bicolor</i> with <i>Quercus macrocarpa</i> sparse to codominant. <i>Quercus stellata, Quercus rubra</i> and <i>Quercus alba</i> may also be found, especially on the drier portions of this mesic to wet-mesic community.
