Description: This community occurs on riverside quartz sand dunes along the Rio Grande in Trans-Pecos Texas in the vicinity of Boquillas. <i>Heliotropium racemosum</i> dominates the sparse vegetation. <i>Chamaesyce</i> sp. is also common. Density and composition of the vegetation varies from year to year depending on moisture.
