Description: This community occurs in seasonally flooded interdune ponds in sand dune landscapes of Trans-Pecos Texas. <i>Baccharis salicifolia</i> and <i>Baccharis neglecta</i> dominate the shrub layer, and <i>Prosopis glandulosa var. glandulosa</i> can also be present. Herbs include <i>Eustoma exaltatum, Cyperus</i> spp., <i>Xanthium strumarium</i>, and the rare species <i>Cyperus onerosus</i>. Wetter interdune swales have a willow-dominated community, ~<i>Salix exigua / Baccharis salicifolia - Baccharis neglecta / Schoenoplectus</i> spp. Woodland (CEGL004587)$$.
