Name: Acacia neovernicosa / Flourensia cernua Shrubland Reference: NatureServe Biotics 2019 Description: This is a Chihuahuan shrubland type in the Southwest and minor type on White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico. Stands occur on red sandstone slopes that are moderately steep to steep and have warm exposures. The dominant vegetation is characterized by moderately open to moderately closed shrub canopies (25-70% cover) of <i>Acacia neovernicosa</i> and <i>Flourensia cernua</i>.
