Description: This type has been described from wet habitat types of the Yellowstone Plateau in northwestern Wyoming, growing on medium- to coarse-textured, subirrigated soils of meadows, floodplains, and swales. <i>Deschampsia cespitosa, Symphyotrichum foliaceum</i>, and <i>Juncus arcticus ssp. littoralis</i> are always present. <i>Carex microptera, Phleum alpinum, Antennaria corymbosa, Potentilla diversifolia, Senecio sphaerocephalus, Polygonum bistortoides</i>, and <i>Epilobium ciliatum ssp. glandulosum</i> often are present and may be abundant. Shrubs are absent or contribute little cover.
